What is Claystone?
Claystone Waste is the successor organization to Beaver Municipal Solutions
The Beaver Regional Waste Management Services Commission, also known as Beaver Municipal Solutions was created in 1992 with a mandate to provide waste management services to the residents and businesses of its shareholder municipalities which include Beaver County, the Village of Holden, the Village of Ryley, the Town of Tofield and the Town of Viking, as well as customers located outside of Beaver County.
As of September 1, 2020, Beaver Municipal Solutions transitioned from a regional services commission to a municipally controlled corporation. This corporate reorganization is meant to provide increased community benefit to residents, protect and promote member municipality sustainability, and enable future waste management operations to be conducted in a more flexible manner. Along with the transition to a more flexible corporate structure, Beaver Municipal Solutions has been re-branded as Claystone Waste Ltd.

Community Involvement
Claystone Waste like it's predecessor, Beaver Municipal Solutions, is an active member in our local communities. We have a bi-annual grant program for local non-profit groups.
Landfill
Claystone Waste operates the Beaver Regional Landfill, a class II landfill just north of the village of Ryley.
Roll-off Bin Rental
Spring cleaning or have a large construction project? You can rent a roll-off bin on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Easily dispose of large amounts of garbage.
Recycling
Claystone Waste offers recycling programs through its transfer stations located throughout the County of Beaver.

Landfill
The Beaver Regional Landfill operated by Claystone Waste Ltd. is a sanitary class II landfill located near Ryley, Alberta. It accepts municipal solid waste from the surrounding municipalities, as well as significant volumes of class 2, non-hazardous industrial wastes. The facility is one of the largest in Western Canada, and can provide advanced waste treatment, recycling and remediation technologies to municipal and industrial customers.

The transition of Beaver Municipal Solutions to Claystone Waste included public consultation in all of the member municipalities. Public hearings on the Claystone Waste proposal were held by each municipal member council in June and
